For the first time in over 30 years I have taken a sabbatical from the community organizing, activism, and cultural work that have been the heart and passion of my life.

Living in San Francisco and the Bay Area for most of my 66 years, I am fortunate to have been an intimate witness to and participant in the rich history of the local and national feminist, bisexual, transgender, lesbian, gay, queer, intersexed, and AIDS movements. My current passion and focus is producing my activist memoirs and a book of poetry.

Aubin Pictures, Inc. of New York is the fiscal sponsor for the Grassroots Book Project. All financial and in-kind donations are tax-deductible. I am raising the funds to provide the quality time to organize, research, and write.

These books chronicle my journey and challenge the binary lens used by most gay, lesbian, and heterosexual historians. I look forward to setting the record straight – well, bisexual anyway – by highlighting the vital contributions of bisexual people to the many movements and communities we call home, and beginning to answer the question of how the “B” got into LGBT.
